General Insurance
We are able to offer the following General Insurance products from our panel of providers:
Buildings Insurance
This type of insurance covers your house in case of a disaster where your house is so badly damaged that it needs to be completely rebuilt. The event which has caused the damage must have been completely beyond your control, for example storm or flood damage, a major fire, smoke or explosions, water leakage/burst pipes, subsidence, or third party vandalism or damage. Mortgage providers will generally insist that you take out this type cover, as it means they will be able to recover their losses in such events. It is like a type of security or collateral for the loan that they have given to you.
Contents Insurance
This type of insurance covers most items in your house which are not fixed to the property, for example your furniture, jewellery, electrical appliances and clothing. Some contents insurance policies will even cover things like the contents of your refrigerator and freezer! Contents insurance will cover you in most of the same situations as buildings insurance, but also includes theft. Again, any of these perils must have been beyond your control.
Landlord's Insurance
This type of insurance policy covers a property owner from financial losses connected with rental properties. The policy will cover the building, with the option of insuring any contents that belong to the landlord that are inside. The policy will generally cover standard perils such as fire, lightning, explosion, earthquake, storm, flood, escape of water/oil, subsidence, theft and malicious damage. Optional cove might include accidental damage, terrorism, legal protection, alternative accommodation costs, contents insurance, rent guarantee insurance, and liability insurance.
Commercial Insurance
Cover for commercial premises, liability and professional indemnity etc.
Commercial Insurance is referred to a 3rd party. Paul Allen t/a Tailored Mortgage Solutions and First Complete Ltd are not responsible for any advice received from the 3rd party.
